If we are able to overfund to the point of doubling our base goal, we would be able to hire a part time animator/particle effects artist & another part time programmer to help speed up production and allow for additional game content.About This Game About This GameWatch your back in the world of Arcadia, where a kingdom is tearing itself apart and forces more dark and ancient than the soil are about to awaken. This is why our release date is set quite far into the future (2018), so that we can ensure we have enough time to polish the game and not go hungry working for free for a solid 2 years. With our base funding I would be able to complete a majority of the art assets within a year and the rest of the dev work would be completed working part-time the second year. Mostly we are working for profit share and we do this as a labor of love in the evenings and on weekends. $90k covers enough to get us going full speed for a year of development and we are confident in our ability to complete most of the game within that year. The rest goes to help me work full time on the art for one year. A chunk of $ goes to our musician/sfx artist Moritz and then there's a similarly sized chunk that goes to paying our programmer an upfront down payment. $90k is not enough to pay all 4 people a full time wage to make Arcadian Atlas, but it's a good start. Heya! Let's see if I can't help answer some of those questions then. That excites us, and were glad our Kickstarter backers get to be an integral part. Whether it be melodies that quicken the pulse, pixel art that leaves you breathless, gameplay that challenges even the most hardened tactics veterans, or characters that you fall in love with, Arcadian Atlas is a platform where our passion and talent have no ceiling. Weve got phenomenal talent behind us, and were serious about crafting an experience that will go down as a true classic of the tactical RPG genre. Our teams experience spans games like Vidar, Fort Meow, Lugdunon, Dreamblazers, Solar Crusaders, and Genesis, with over 18 years in the industry, so we know how to manage talent, finances, and time to create wonderful game experiences. We grew up entrenched in the golden age of SNES and Playstation masterpieces, eventually carving our own game development path by crafting the 15+ hour RPG title Genesis.Īrcadian Atlas is a passion project birthed from a love of pixel masterpieces in the 90s and a longing to make a fresh tactical RPG with roots firmly planted in the genres classics. Established in 2015, Twin Otter Studios is an independent game studio helmed by Becca and Taylor Bair, a brother and sister duo based in Texas.
